Attention-grabbing with projects for the disabled, Pamukkale Municipality opened new courses to increase the contribution of disabled people to production.
Via the project “Disabled People Manufactures, Contributes to Tourism” implemented in cooperation with Pamukkale Municipality and İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency); disabled people learn the manufacturing of products such as decorative bottles, wood painting, plate painting, ceramic, polyester dyeing, felt making, jewelry design and fragrant stone.
The courses in the scope of the project “Disabled People Manufactures, Contributes to Tourism” take place in the additional building of the Municipality of Pamukkale on Atatürk Street. 10 orthopedic disabilities, 8 hearing-impaired citizens are attending the courses. The trainees learn the production of decorative bottles, wood painting, plate painting, ceramic, polyester painting, felt making, jewelry design, fragrant stone, etc. under the supervision of Fatma Yıldırım and Derya Şimşek.

Pamukkale Mayor Hüseyin Gürlesin said, “With this project, we wanted to support our citizens with disabilities, to ensure their involvement in social life and to ensure that they contribute to their home economies and increase their confidence in a sense. Hopefully we will put across the project and in the future processes we will encourage the disabled people to be more productive.
