T he film starts at the point where hope comes to an end and the desperation arises . Mahir Hoca can not forget his painful past. Due to unrecognized inventions, he becomes weary of people and doesn’t come out of hiz old mansion. Ela lost her sight and hearing due to a disease she experienced when she was two years old. Moreover, Ela is nervous, incompatible, harming people around her. Ela’s mother and father were desperate and found no way out.

Two people who are full of angry and cross with people: Ela and Mahir Hoca. And also their familiars around abandoned their hope about them. They say “impossible” for Ela’s learning even one thing and Mahir Hoca’s revival. They are really not wrongous. Ela really can not learn anything. Ela’s parents fall over Ela because of their compassion; and whatever Ela do, they tolerate it. In this point, Mahir Hoca come into play. Firstly, he puts emphasis on that Ela is a human being and human being should never give up hope. Since Ela does not have hearing and vision senses; he discovers and improves the touch that is the only way to communicate with her.

Mahir Hoca’s unbreakable wounds heals by the developments in Ela’s condition. Ela’s anger to people and life is reduced by Mahir Hoca’s faith. From the beginning to the end of the film, it is able to think and empathize its audience. Ela both gets to know the words and learns to read and write with the braille alphabet. Mahir Hoca’s dreams are great. Ela has managed to graduate from college, even though she failed in class many times.
